The American Red Cross South Texas Chapter has prepared people to save lives through health and safety education, preparedness, and training . We offer a variety of courses such as First aid, CPR, babysitters and family care giving for Schools, community and the Workplace. We also offer classes to learn how to use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to save victims of sudden cardiac arrest. In addition, we offer aquatic classes such as learn to swim programs and life guarding. American Red Cross Preparedness programs help people lead safer and healthier lives. The Red Cross constantly strives to respond to the preparedness concerns of Americans at home, in school and in the workplace.

American Red Cross Health and Safety Services helps to save lives and strengthen communities— imparting hope and confidence along with practical skills. It is the premier provider of education, training and products that enable people to prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and other life-threatening emergencies through programs and services that include:

  • First Aid/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
  • Aquatics, such as basic swim lessons, Lifeguarding and Water Safety
  • Caregiving, including Babysitter’s Training
